Wanting to warm the stark, wide existing passage while increasing slightly the separation between the living and entertainment rooms, two semi-transparent display cases simultaneously retain the clear connection of spaces. Comprising the larger individuals of smaller square modules allowed for visual balance within the asymmetrical whole. Triangles placed at each side creates shared viewing by eliminating any would-be front or back. Wall-mounted like cabinetry, but held away from floor and ceiling and lightly supported by slender legs, this composition deliberately blurs the line between furniture and architecture, all while confidently evoking the Postmodern style.
